Organic Investment Management Limited formed on 13 June 2014 and its known as a DFM (Discretionary Fund Manager), which means it managed collections of investment bonds for clients to invest in. In 2016 the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) started to issue warning over inadequate compliance and oversight controls.

In December 2018 the FCA decided to end Organic’s license to carry out regulated activity in order to protect investors. This resulted in Organic Investment Management falling into administration, with £70 million of assets from SIPP money through five Model portfolios.

The Organic Bond fund and the Organic Long/Short Alpha Fund were suspended due to uncertainty over the value of these two funds
