What is Consumer Wealth Limited?

Consumer Wealth Limited was an independent Financial Advisor that was created and registered as a company on 4 December 2014 in Gateshead. In many cases, Consumer Wealth convinced clients to transfer out of their personal pension Schemes into a SIPP, so that they would invest in unregulated risky investments. This unsuitable financial advice resulted in SIPP investors losing all or nearly all their pension savings. The Financial Ombudsman Service has received 13 complaints against Consumer Wealth Limited for their part in providing negligent advice in transferring pensions to Self-Invested personal pensions. Appointment of Liquidator Consumer Wealth Limited appointed James Miller and Gareth Harris of RSM Restructuring Advisory as of the administrator on 18 December 2018 due to Financial Ombudsman complaints stacking up against them. On 16 May 2019, the Joint Liquidators formed the opinion that the company was insolvent, so the members’ voluntary liquidation was converted to a creditors’ voluntary liquidation.
